The Ozamis Youth Performing Arts is formerly named as Bag-ong Ozamiznon Performing Arts Dance Company

(BOPADC), was organized and founded last February 2006 under the Direction of Madam Cynthia G. Ferraren our City Accountant and who was elected as the Chairperson of the annual Search for Miss Ozamiz Tourism 2006, which contributed to the success of the 250th Anniversary Celebration of El Fuerte de Nuestra Señora de la Conception Y del Triunfo,

The performers are composed of college and high school students from the different school here in Ozamis City, from Lasalle University (LSU), Misamis University (MU) and City High school. With the supervision of Mr. Christoher A. Abellana a Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Registered Nurse, a Performer of Bantawang Kabataan Performing Arts from University of Cebu.

More than 30 dances were performed, during Pre-screening of candidates and also during the Coronation Night of Miss Ozamiz Tourism 2006 at Medina Gym Ozamis City.

The performers were trained and undergo varied trainings to meet the objectives of the organization.
